Project 7: Webpage

  1. Description: A webpage designed to showcase an original logo.
  2. Process (Programs, Tools, Skills):
After a crash course on html and css coding, I got to work.  Any question I had, I either asked a good friend for help or went to the internet.  I had a simple outline that I used for the base of my CSS and HTML.  I changed the fonts, experimented with positioning and padding, and I changed the colors of my text and background to match my logo.
The programs and tools I used for this were Text Wrangler, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  3. Message: Small movie company trying to get its name out to the public.
  4. Audience: professional actors/actresses, moviegoers, and producers.
  5. Top Thing Learned: Html coding isn’t that scary.  I was worried that this assignment would take me a long time to complete, but I finished it rather quickly and enjoyed doing it.
  6. Color scheme and color hex(s): Complementary – Background Blue-#14233B, Eclipse Blue- #243A77, Eclipse Gold – #FECB38, White – #FFFFFF
  7. Title Font Families & Category: Lora, Rockwell, serif; Serif
  8. Copy Font Families & Category: Lato, Ariel, sans-serif: Sans-Serif
  9. Changes made to the CSS: I changed the colors to match my logo and I changed the fonts.  I moved some of the text around and gave my title more padding.
  10. Word Count: 204

I love your webpage!! It’s so awesome. I especially like how you changed the transparency on your background to reveal the stars of the image behind it. I really like that, it makes your webpage different. Keeping up your color scheme was also excellent. I liked how you didn’t overuse it though you only used the yellow and blue here and there but left the majority of the text white. Overall really good job! This project is also really good, check it out!

You did really well with your web page! The background image works with the title of the logo. I also liked the way you did the layout by placing the logo in the top left and having the text wrap around it. I think it makes your web page stand out more. You really unified it with the colors. And last of all the transparent background is awesome!
